Japan steel industry Head: new US tariffs have not hit Asia market yet - Reuters

Following the comments from the Japanese Economy Minister Motegi, Japan Iron and Steel Federation Chairman Kosei Shindo was reported by Reuters, as saying that the new US tariffs on steel imports have not yet hit the Asian steel market.

Additional Comments:

“We want the U.S. government to speed up its process as this will have an impact on the U.S. customers.”

“Only about 165 applications to seek item exemption out of nearly 4,000 applications have been approved so far.”
