Wall Street tumbles more than 2% amid global growth concern

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US stocks market collapsed more than 2% on Monday as risk aversion was fueled by global growth concerns and weaker than expected ISM manufacturing data.

The Dow closed at 3-month low after closing its seventh 3-digit drop of 2014, while the Nasdaq had its first 100-point loss since November 2011. The DJIA and S&P are performing its worst month since August 2013.

The DJIA collapsed 326.05 points or 2.08% on the day to close at 15,372.80; the S&P 500 eased 40.70 pts or 2.28% to finish at 1,741.89; and the Nasdaq composite declined 106.92 pts or 2.61% to 3,996.96.
