ECB faces 3 suits over QE in German courts – Bloomberg
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the Bloomberg reports, three suits have been filed against the European Central Bank (ECB) in German courts over its monthly EUR 60 billion QE program.
One of the cases is reportedly filed by the head of the ALFA political party. The suits could complicate matters for the ECB in a sense that an expansion or extension of its QE program will be difficult to sell.
No wonder there were reports yesterday that a consensus is building among the ECB members around a deposit rate cut in December.
